The Future of Areoplanes!     The future of areoplanes is exciting for aviation enthusiasts. With Airbus and Boeing creating and producing state of the art areoplanes and Concorde 2.0 on the horizon, what will be the future for the aviation industry? ___     The Boeing 777x is one of Boeing's recent developments. The Boeing 777x is a revamp of the beloved Boeing 777.     Fitted with GE9X engines, the Boeing 777x is faster, bigger and more fuel efficient that its predecessor, the Boeing 777-200/300. The Boeing 777-9  has a range of 7,285nm (13,500km) which is an increase of 1,280nm (2,370) compared to the Boeing 777-300.  The longer wingspan of the Boeing 777-9 helps increase the range and lift of the areoplane, however, this has come with problems.  The History of Air Travel!

Air travel has grown nonstop over the last 100 years with it going through many changes such as security measures and the way passengers travel.
___

In the 1920's, air travel was one of the first times that planes started to carry passengers. It wasn't desirable when it started. Aeroplanes were slow and unsafe at this point. One of the popular passenger aeroplane at that time was the Fokker F-10.

With a cruising altitude of 18,000 feet and a max speed of 120 knots (140 mph), it was slower and more dangerous than travelling by train. The Fokker F-10 has a max capacity of 12 passengers, this left operators with a small margin of profit due to the amount of fuel areoplanes would use during this era.

The 30's saw the introduction of female flight attendants or "stewardesses". During this time, passenger planes also received a cabin upgrade! Passenger planes were redesigned to make flying a more enjoyable and comfortable experience for their passengers and crew.

___

Passenger air travel came to a halt in the 1940's due to World War II. With the war, many commercial passenger aeroplanes were used for various countries soldiers. Many aeroplane designers such as Lockheed Martin were starting to produce aeroplanes fit for war rather than commercial aviation.

After the war, many countries were left with airbases with long runways. These were repurposed for commercial use. Airports such London Heathrow were used as a military base during the war.

The golden age of air travel, the 1950's & 60's!

During the 50's, air travel discovered luxury and prominent airlines such as Pan Am took full advantage of the trend.

The introduction of "Jumbo Jets" in the 50's revolutionised the industry. Aeroplanes were now able to travel further and farther. TransAtlantic flights were now possible opening up the Americas to Europe. Flights during this time also became very expensive which branded flight travel as a higher class option.
